Default Arjunauto

This company that advertise in Car magazine, anyone know anything about them? On searching I found a poster by the name of Harj on one of the M5 boards who used to have a Scooby and has www.arjunauto.com listed as his home page.... and there was a chap on here called Harj with an M5 or Fezza who was a little controversial IIRC?

Jazz,

That clears nothing up IMHO. Just a bunch of people who have nothing better to do with their lives but bitch about someone who they really know nothing about. They think they do, but they really have no idea.

John,

If you want/need a balanced view, pm me and I'll give you my number

Agreed - there are two sides to every story. I for one have never, ever had a problem with Harj, others have.

Paul,

You're absolutely right mate!

The M5 that Harj bought was my old car, and he did the Cannonball in it with a friend of mine. I believe that they did rather well. Or was that just a figment of my imagination!? LOL

there are two sides indeed.

But its odd that most people on here don't have any stories written about them.

If anyone does bump into him, metion that he still owes Clare £100 for work she did on the Arjun website.

Thanks all for the input. Their adverts are interesting in that they seem able to source waiting list cars at discount on short deliveries. But I new I had heard something about them before hence the search and the post.

I've previously had another importer simply "lose" my Euro import so I'm always a bit cautious, but don't want to pay main dealer prices.

John,

They can source cars quickly, but be careful of the Euro rate that you may get a quote based on, and the actual rate you're going to have to pay. They can be different and make a considerable difference to the price.

Very short deliveries, according to their website (build slot in Q4 '04).

That's not the point though, is it?

There are many more places/people from which to source a car that don't have any reputational issues, real or otherwise.

Diablo,

Arjunautos is run by a chap called Trip Toor. If you can get past his rude, arrogant and occasionally abusive telephone manner, you may get the vehicle you want, within the timescales specified.

You can of course exercise your right to purchase elsewhere. I believe that many already do. The choice is the individuals. Personally, I've bought from them, as have a number of my friends. No problems here.

Absolutely

And indeed, in the event I was faced with a "rude, arrogant and occasionally abusive telephone manner", I would probably go somewhere else regardless of my personal opinion of one of his associates.

Which would be their loss in the event I was looking to spend a not insignificant amount of money

And I suspect it will also be their loss that you have now probably put anyone else off using them by kindly providing advance warning to the interested party of the likely response they will be met with

Lets sum up

We have a rude, arrogant and abusive director/owner who is closely associated with someone that has been shown, beyond a reasonable doubt, to be at best a serial bull****ter and at worse..well., who knows?

Good business decision

Diablo,

I don't doubt for one minute that a huge number of people have not purchased from Arjun specifically for the reasons noted above. However, an even bigger number of people have bought from them despite their inherent "challenges".

Despite the reputation, Arjun is a successful business. It just seems that some deem it unfair if someone does well, despite having those attributes you mention. I suggest that those whingers put a sock in it.

LOL

As they say Matt, "whatever"...

The evidence suggests otherwise, but by all means perceive what you wish to perceive

It is, of course, your perogative

John, if you want some more factual information, send me a PM and I'll be happy to help.

Regards
