Question 944 Turbo

A 944 passed me as i was sat in traffic tonight, quiet a throaty exhaust note followed by a whining noise as he sped off. It sounded more like a supercharger than a turbo though. Is the turbo noise on 944's like this?

Sounded good either way!

Standard cars sound like a hair dryer but in fairness go very very well.

An old boss from donkey's years back used to have one, really really quick, also can be tuned to over 300bhp quite easily apparently!

That would prob have been the gearbox, they ll tend to be a bit noisy.

Not sure what hairdryers you use pug man but i dont think they will sound like a 944t

err sorry but they sound shxite. They are quiet and very un-assuming. To some its part of the appeal, but to me im afraid its just a high performance car which lacks some of the character it could have with a better sound track.

HOWEVER ...... A great car, for the money and with a cheap chip to 295BHP it makes it identical in accelerations to a decent STi. Oh and when I say decent im not talking about a ppp car
