Biggest Power VAG Diesel?
Just wondering, I've read a lot about basic re-maps for these cars giving decent gains... but what if you puta bigger turbo/FMIC/exhaust etc onto one of these and then got a custom re-map??
Has anyone done this and what sort of results did they get??
Cheers,
Grant

I've seen postings on some VAG forums about Allard's mobile testbed, a Golf PD with big turbo and all the plumbing which is well over 200bhp and some monster torque figure.
The problem as I understand it is that once you get above standard remap figures (typically 170 - 180 bhp and 300lb-ft torque) the VAG clutch, twin-mass flywheel & gearbox can't take it .... not to mention the Batman smokescreen

If you are talking 1.9's then around 230bhp is possible without nitrous.
Same principle as petrol, remap, bigger turbo, FMIC, etc.
I believe TaviaRS who posts on here has a 230bhp "SDI"
Cheers
