Default old shape premera GT @230bhp????

think i'm being told porkies unless its been blown, but can't find anywhere with the stock power figures, i was sure it was about 150\160bhp...its the old square shape one with two exhausts

1998cc SR20DE engine, 150 bhp @ 6400rpm, 134 lb ft @ 4800rpm

Max Claimed Speed 136mph, 0-60mph in 8.8 Second

so probably tuneable to 180ish retaining std fuel injection but its gotta be either turbo or super chargered for more?

There was a guy that tuned a Primera GT to 230BHP, he lived in Newcastle. It had a Turbo.

Yup, maximum with bolt on parts is about 180, add throttle bodies and appropriate fueling will see 200-210, £big bucks. Porkies or blown, avoid if blown unless you have evidence of a piston change. Stock they'll take only 7psi boost safely and reliably.

It's possible to drop in the engine internals from a 200sx....same engine just with the lower compression and the turbo.

A few rice-a-holics over in the land of the rising Sun have done it. So 200+bhp would be easy.

Explaining why somebody would want to do that would be much harder

ive seen 1 with a pulsar engine in,300 bhp
supposedly fit straight in.
