10 month insurance policy? 1 years NCB?
has anyone been with Admiral/elphant and had one of their 10 month bonus accelerator policies and then tried to us the NCB with another company?
When you get your NCB letter from Admiral does it say 1 years NCB or 10 months?

1 full NCB, Ive done it for the last 2 years so I can get my insurance renewal to land where I want it too (so when I get works bonus it will cover the renewal ) and also to speed up my NCB.... been insured with Norwich Union before using 2 10months NCB as full ones...
go for it if its saving you pennies

well I'm already insured with admiral, so in theory I should have 3 years no claims (2 years from previous insurer) and 10 months with Admiral.
But a 10 month policy with admiral is going to cost £200 more than another quote I've had and thats for a 12 month policy!

some accept it some dont so i've been told had elephant 10 month policy first couple of years of insuring cars, costs same as 12 motnh policy but gets cheaper quicker.

per month my 10 month policies have been around £1.50 more expensive, but the last 2 months compared against a 12 month policy which make up the first 2 months of the next 10 month policy (have I lost you yet?) more than make up the difference.
Consider it over a 5 year term and 10 month policies are far cheaper.
I have each year looked at renewals at other companies and admiral (who are willing to match elephant) have always been the cheapest, but more importantly, the other insurers were all willing to accept the 10 month policy.
