Where to buy Brembo Pads for big Jaguar
Hi there,
I'm heading to Le Mans with a mate in a few weeks so we're just preparing the car for the 'enthusiastic' drive down there. The weapon of choice is a my friend's Jaguar XJR 100.
One item on the checklist was new pads with the original set having done almost 8k miles. Anyway, my friend has spoken to Jag about a set of replacement pads and they've quoted £640 for the front pads!!!!
This is obviously not too cheap so i'm wondering if there are any other places that can supply the Brembo pads for the R- Performance brakes fitted to the high powered Jaguars. The car is a 2000 model with the silver Brembo Calipers.
Can any one help?
Cheers
James

Ouch!
Seems that's just the price for Brembos.
I've suggested he looks at Ferodo DS2500's as they managed to stop my Evo well enough and were a damn sight cheaper!
Cheers

It's funny you say that as the EBC's have just been recommended to him. Are they worth a try? I've never rated them since cooking a set on my RS2000 and have always been a fan of the Ferodo DS series.
If there's something i don't know of then please let me know as the EBC's actually list the Jag whereas the Ferodo's only list the Porsche 993 Turbo which uses the same brakes and there is a fear that there may be minor differences.
Cheers
