Anyway...isn't the Veryon going to be limited to 186mph on it's normal tyres? If you want to go faster you'll have to call Bugatti and they'll send out a service team to give you special high speed tyres
So in the real world you're "fastest car in the world" will be beaten by all manner of Porsches, Ferrari's, derestricted Mercs/BMW's/Audi's,(tuned scoobs ) etc

Yep it may be fast but how usable is that speed? your not exactly going to go for an early morning blast down the M54 just to see what it can do now are you? lol. I suspect a lot of these will never see their full potential owned by people with plenty of money and not much skill (Another supercar to write off mr Atkinson?) Its not exactly a car you could nip down the shops in (even if you are a millionaire youve still got to shop) where would you park it for a start? would you want to leave it unattended in a car park? Some will end up being speculated upon moved from car storage to car storage being unwrapped periodically to auctioned off. And dont even get me started on if it should wear a Bugatti Badge.

Flightman,The F1 held the production car top speed record until the Konnewhotsit took it by 0.3mph last month. You're right that a modded car like the 9ff doesn't count as it's a one off modded car. Just like all the dumb yanks thought their corvette sledgehammer beat the F1, again, nope, it was a heavily modded one off and far from a 'standard production car' like the F1 was
lol, rowan Atkinson never wrote off his F1,justa little light front end damage
Like i said the Veryon will be limited to ~186mph 99% of the time anyway so it's 250mph top speed is irrelevant anyway for road use.
The beauty of the F1 was that as it was so relatively small (compared to other supercars) it could be used for shopping (more luggage space than a Ford fiesta) or driving around towns etc. A lot of them were also used to their full potential as the potential was so easily accessible......cue the old story of the german man taking his F1 to be serviced and upon dumping the ECU log the technicians found that on 10 out of the last 14 days (or something like that) he'd exceeded 200mph

I remember reading about that in Max power How did it go....
A german, lets called him hans, rings up Mclaran and says "I am havink problems with my car, it is beink lumpy running"
So the techie tells him to download the cars data to him and he'll have a look at the problem.
A little later the same techie calls hans back
"Hello Hans? we think there may be a problem with the cars data logging systems, according to the data we have here, we are showing continued use at 200, 210, 219 and 222 mph.
"Ja" Says hans, "Ja that is correct"
astraboy.

yes, thats the ****ty Corvette sledgehammer isn't it?
One off, highly tuned etc. About as far from a 'production car' as you can get. Awful looking cars imo.
Interesting note not many people know, a lot of Mclaren F1's have now had the engine upgrade to the 'LM' model spec power, i.e about ~687BHP so with the longer gearing of the standard F1 and with the rev limiter removed they'll more than likely actually go faster than 240mph if you had a long enough runway/track Of course this makes them 'non standard' and inelligable for a certiffied world record in that state of tune.

Definitely ****ty IMHO - terrible nose heavy overhang, rubbish panel fits and general kak 'mericun teenager's wet dream looks.
Apart from thatit's OK I suppose
The german chap who had the multiple 200 mph downloads is actually the head of Bugatti now. Ex investment banker and gentleman Le Mans (Mac F1) driver, Thomas Bscher, if my dodgy memory serves me right.

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but if you are suggesting that....that.....THING.....looks good, then I would definitely suggest either your eyes or your taste is seriously screwed

Oh my god it's all come flooding back now about the day i was driving the 'Vette Think i must have somehow blocked it all out but this has reminded me of it. A couple of days later i was in a bar chatting to a girl i had been "working on" and i mentioned i'd seen her a couple days ago in town...."oh yes" she said "You were in some awful car weren't you? What was that? Nathan, i really thought you had better taste than that, that was one of the tackiest cars i've ever seen!" Tried to explain it wasn't mine etc but my card had been well and truly marked - He who drives the tackiest car she'd ever seen. I feckin hate Corvettes
