Induction Cold Air Feed On 205 GTi ?
Anyone know where the best place to run a cold air feed is on a 205 GTi ?
Theres not a great deal of room under the bonnet, so any experiences would be nice Anyone removed the front fogs and made a feed from the front ?
Cheers,
Dunk

I have seen one locally with what looks like an intake in the grill but it may be a (chav) fake.
Removing a foglight does seem to be popular, seen a few cars (not P-GTI's with this done.
I know i am answering a question with a question but can it be fitted just behond the grill so not to spoil the look?

I got a bit of the metal "Green" brand induction hosing and ran it from just behind the valance by the tow hook. You can only see it if you get down low and means you don't have to remove anything. I ran it from there up to the side of the battery and angled towards the K&N.

hi, on a trackday only 205 i saw once, he'd removed the nearside headlight glass and using the back of the light unit as a funnel had a pretty good cold air feed.
obviously no good if you use your's on thr road.

On my 205 with a LAD Motorsport conversion the K+N is fed by a hose as per Scoobyjava and also a short bit of hose above the radiator in the grill to the filter.
I was also looking at other ideas.
(the K+N is located next to the battery).
Just cleaned my filter which has made it run much crisper.
Aggs.

Yeah, regular cleaning of the filter is important and should be doubled on K&N's recommended intervals IMHO. £12 from Halfrauds IIRC.
I decided against the one behind the grill as when it rained it could direct water to the filter and could get into the engine - very remote possibility I admit, but figured it was less likely to make it all the way up the pipe under the valance!
