The last one i had was a 131 mirafiori racing bright orange.
It was an x reg and i owned it in 1987.
I had the engine fully tuned by avanti tune the main abarth dealers in uk.
Engine was taken out to 2.1 twin 50mm side draft dellorto's,big valve head etc etc etc.Ended up with 192bhp at the wheels, which back then was something quite good.
It sounded so nice, just love the sound of twin side draft carbs.
I could go on and on about these cars, sorry.
As for value,i cant remember seeing one for a good few years now.
Tricky to value,i guess if its a restored rust free example it could be worth 1.500 to 2 k.But most suffer from real bad rot and can be brought for as little as £200.
The racing version had a limited slip diff and close ratio abarth box.
There were so many 2.0ltr mirafiori's that alot of the sports eneded up with non sport parts on them,ie non lsd and standard gearbox.
I will always want a 131 abarth, but alas will never own one.
I beleive there are only two on the fiat register.
Excuse the somewhat long answer, but i love these cars.

Cracking engines on these cars. The sound of a Fiat Twin cam on big sidedrafts is one of the best sounds in motoring. Good 131s are now very rare as they suffer from body rot. A very good book is Fiat and Lancia twin camms by Brian Long publsihing by Motor Racing Publications if you want to know more and what can be done.
The other big tuner used to by Guy Croft and Middle Barton Garage still do a lot of Fiat and Abarth stuff.
I used to have 2 Strada Abarths which were cracking cars and after driving many hot hatches I would consider these amongst the best.

I had one of these too. Absolutely loved it - racing orange - what a colour. It had also been lowered by the previous owner - managed to scrape the exhaust clamp on sleeping policemen....LOL...
It too suffered from rot - remember the drivers door at the front/ top of the side window letting wind-noise in as it was corroded at the base. Rather than get it welded or repaired, I used to stuff a rag in the gap, which cured the fault temporarily, until I ended up with a 1 inch gap and lots of rags needed, but then it was in danger of faling off altogether.
As has been suggested, I believe a mint example with no rot (or one that has been repaired) has got to be worth £1500, but an average motor should be £100 or so.
Good fun in the wet though...

it is a beauty - someone i know is offering one up for sale in.... bright orange! it has a short shifter but not sure about the lsd - im not sure if its abarth tuned as it doesnt have flared arches but looks like a bomb - needs a bit of work tho - any way of cheking if it does have the specified limited slip diff and all? a nice scenery change from the mexico MK1 in my opinion!!!

Cracking engine the Fiat/Lancia twin cam. A mate of mine had a Mirafiori Sport up in Shetland. A spirited drive back from a hillclimb showed contrasting handling styles - through a series of bends the 131 was understeering, my 323i was oversteering. Great fun!

If the body rots away, just get a Lada shell and drop the twin-cam lump & suspension in it
But seriously, my mate had a Mira and a Strada TC130 back in the early 80s, great cars in their time.

I had a late registered one (a 'W') in 1988 and it was thoroughly rotten then. When I sold it it had a full SD cage and two brand new floors. It also had an ex-works gearbox (allegedly one left behind at the RAC, but Ive seen about ten cars that were one of the two works cars abandoned...); and the inverted headlamps and grille in the style of the Group 4 cars. The rear axle was uprated with an LSD of dubious vintage and the brakes came of an early Rover 825/827. The engine; which I nearly forgot to mention, was an eight valve 2000cc turbo out of a Lancia Thema. I was tempted by the Alitalia colours too but in the end someone made me an offer than I couldnt refuse and I sold up. A 'track-day' car before there was such a thing.
