Hi

anybody know much about the Mazda 3 please, as I'm considering buying one for the family.

Not specifically the Mazda 3, but I have had the following Mazdas: -
323 - 3 years
MX5 - 12 years
Xedos 9 - 6 years
None has ever broken down, rattled, rusted or done anything unusual at all. Even after 12 years in the MX5 I think the clutch and exhaust were the only bits changed (apart from servicing / batteries / tyres)

They make some very well lasting cars
