330d se touring 51-reg buying guide
Hi,
I'm going to look at a BMW 330d se touring at lunch for mate that likes cars, but knows very little about them. A 330d is a bit of foray into the unknown for me, so I'd be grateful if you good people of scoobynet good give me some car specific pointers.
The details i have about the car are:
First registered: 12/01
Reg: LM51 TZS
Model: BMW 330 DSL SE 5DR TOURING (cloth interior)
Mileage:24493
Colour: MET SILVER
Full service history
Mot'd until: 12/05
Asking price:13650 (seems pretty cheap and makes me question the mileage!)
What should I be looking for? Are there any bmw forums where I might be able to gleem a buyer's guide?
Many thanks.

Hi mate
There's a friendly crowd here although not quite as active as this bunch.
Looks like it was 1st registered in Northern Ireland which can give some people the jitters on residuals. Best thing to do is ask to see the service history and then verify it with the dealers(s) who carried out the work.
Blown turbos can be a problem on these engines but if that mileage is genuine you should be OK. Has it got an extended warranty?Like anything else, do your research and if there's anything that doesn't stack up, just walk away. There's plenty of these about anyway.
Best of luck.
Cheers
