Hypothetical question....

Suppose you wanted to nip down to the car auctions with the sole intention of buying a car there which you could then sell on again fairly quickly for a good bit more than you bought it.

What make / model would be the best for this ie what are the current auction bargains that are actually worth a good bit more privately? Ex taxi Octavia? Ex fleet Vectra etc?

Thinking about it in terms of avoiding depreciation when coming to sell later.

I'd look for trade ins direct from a dealer that they've punted straight to auction. There are bargains to be had there if your careful. That's how I picked up an M reg Primera eGT with 6 months MOT for £200 last year.
