Default Modding a BMW 530D - best bang for the bucks

My old man has a BMW 530D estate and is being told that he can have an extra 40 BHP added which I presume is a std chip replacement etc etc..

Does anyone know what the best thing to do with these as I'd like to make sure he does the right thing and not get a bum deal...

Nothing extreme mind, he is in his 60's but still likes to press on now and then....

Limited budget too....

Horico,

There's a few 330D owners on here (same engine) and I'm sure they'll be along shortly to advise. In the meantime, have a gander over this thread
