S2000 - how much room inside?
Hi,
I'm 6'3" and I'm interested in an S2000. What are the like inside for space? Will it be quite cramped for a tall bloke?
I know I can book a test drive etc, but I'm not at that stage yet, just interested in inside space.
Thanks,
Steve

Mate of mine is 6' and has no problems at all in his S2000 - it does have ample leg room so you should be OK - as long as you dont drive in your stillettos?

good luck.
i tried to test drive one but couldnt get in it with the roof up. I'm 6ft6 but even 3 inches wouldn't have been enough to make it comfy...........its also very tight accross the back.
I would have thought 6ft2 was the tallest and that would be tight.
(in contrast......Z4 and TT have loads of room)

He's got spikey hair which doesnt get destroyed by the roof so its OK unless your 6'5 and have hair like 80's pop idol limahl...
FFS the only way to really find out is to go and sit in one, as one lanky person may sit differently to another lanky person - one may be all a la Peter Crouch (gangly mo fo with no body) and another may be all torso and 6inch long legs...
If I had a penny for every antatgonistic retarded response I see from certain folk on here I would have retired months ago.
Climb down from your premenstural soap box - I was just trying to help the fella...

IMHO leg room will probably be an issue, I'm about 6ft maybe just under, seat is not quite all the way back but I reckon you might find it a bit of a squeeze.
When you put the seat right back it doesn't recline as much (obviously ) and this may be your problem.
It is a damn site easier to get in than an Elise though!
Depends on how 'wide' you are too lol

I'm 6'3" and found it cramped but not impossible to live with. 34"legs if that helps, the rest is from the waist up. Leg length makes a lot of difference cos there's plenty of leg room to be had, it's shoulder and head room that's at a premium.

I'm 6 foot 4 of 'normal' proportions/balance between body/legs and I fitted in my old S2000. The key to it was play around with the seat settings until you get it right. The issue is more about legs and arms as I never had my head touching the roof. In fact one of the reasons I went for the S2000 is that it's one of the few sportscars I DO fit in! Did plenty of long journeys and never had any aches or pains etc.
God knows how I fit in my Westfield! (well, I don't really, my head sticks out the top )

Cheers guys.
Like I said, I'll have to sit in one to find out for definite, but I was after a general idea while bored at work
I'm average build too, so hopefully the width side of things should be fine.
The prices have come down on these a bit now, and Im quite tempted.
Anyone know what sort of mpg to expect too please - from normal driving, not thrashing it all the time, I know it will drop then.
Cheers

I took a mate down for a test drive... he was carless at the time and had been banging on about how much he wanted an S2000. He's a bit over 6' and fairly burly.
Lasted about 5 mins - not a chance. Head and sides cramped more than legs, he said. The only way to tell is to sit in one, but they're not capacious.
