Landrover Discovery 3 TDV6 advice
Does anyone have one of these and if so what are your thought's so far and which is the best model to go for? Also fuel ecconomy information would be useful.
My wife currently has a Freelander TD4 which has been very reliable, with good performance and ecconomy. This is now due for changing and the 7 seats in the Discovery would be useful, together with it's towing capacity for the horse!

To me the back looks like a Van
Take a look @ the new Touareg 3.0tdi V6 the interior is streaks ahead of the Discvery.
I traded a 10 month old Range Rover 3.0 HSE new style for the Touareg and have no regrets.

Do you ever want to go off road?
The comments slagging off disco interiors bug me. The basic level cars are... basic as you would expect. The ES level are fantastic. In the reviews you just get one mark for interior across the whole range. In the model I have there was £16,000 between the base level and the top spec - most of that was toys and interior.
It's like like rating Subaru Impreza performance as average having tested a 1.6!
Sorry, Rant over
Anyway Disco 3 - Fantastic! - If you like performance ( & don't do excessive mileage ) get the V8 - Awesome! - better than a Scoob

Just brought a Sept 2004 Discovery TD5 Pursuit manual, excellent motor, had a 300 TDI sometime ago enjoyed that too.
My only complaint on the new ones is:
when your sat in them your not sat on them like the previous disco's, the new ones sitting postion is quite low down, you loose the feeling of size.
My new Disco is Jave Black with Limo glass, it looks like a pimp mobil.
