The car is built purely for fun, and hes done most of the work himself. top bloke!

yeh it was mate. it had a 2.0 clio cup engine in it with nos, but he decided to keep it and go nuts fitting a 20v turbo lump! it ran 13.5 1/4 mile with the 2.0 lump in and they are only 170-180bhp with a few mods (+ some nos)

LMAO I bet thats well entertaining, I find sleepers much more fun than flashy cars at the moment

Here's mine

Volvo 760 turbo, RWD, Megasquirt ECU
Head gasket blew last month so it's in a state of top end rebuild at the mo with bigger injectors.
Was about 220hp+25hp N2O before, looking at about 260hp+60hp N2O after rebuild.

The looks on boy racers faces after you completly destroy them off the lights is the best reason for owning a sleeper like this. Can't wait to get the engine back together again so I can eat some scoobs

Surely it must be a bit of a liability when pressing on, being on those tyres and never having been designed for 300 bhp, must be enormous fun destroying everything (assuming you can get some traction) and give that it has the TDI box I expect it will hold together fairly well.

Yup you can just see the "1.2" badge on the door trim. All it needs now is a "Baby On Board" sticker

That's pretty good but could do with some 15" rusty steel rims don't you think?

I Agree, I saw it in action today at Santa Pod, i think it was 10.80 1/4 mile, My M5 only got 14.80 on the best run, am very very very very angry with my M5, i bet its running on 4 cylinders at the moment.

This last piccy though - it doesn't look like a sleeper though - it looks modded (very well, I might add)

But the first one is brilliant!!!

I'd be looking at uprating the stoppers though - as he's cut through the front framework to fit the intercooler piping, I' be worried about have a front-end smash in it

Good work though

Depends on the insurer, sometimes an engineers report is required. That car is Fennsports IIRC so traders insurance

Although the wheels look standard they are 15`s or 16`s and 205`s so they are quite wide and help get a little grip. Launching it will be difficult but I think the 3rd gear will be awesome enough to help get some good times while he gets used to it. My car is pretty much side by side with my m8s 260bhp scoobie on a rolling start and this thing pull easily 4 cars+ in under 3 secs....madness!

It's a nice car and very fast, but it ain't a true sleeper as it looks like it might be pretty nippy. A true sleeper should be like the Clio - absolutely nothing giving the game away

Well I'd be bloody suspicious about that for starters - a normal Clio couldn't tow a Tonka toy
