Mazda MX6 Any Good ?
Due to a broken Rover I find myself needing a cheap car, been offered a 97 MX6 with 90,000 up, black with grey leather, air con, uk car, full mot, months tax, 4 new tyres, tidy (havent seen it yet) condition according to owner, hes had it three years and is the second owner.
What do you lot reckon ?
Any good, is that a good point to start haggling, i.e. 2895 ?

Nice cars, not cheap to service, but its got a smooth engine. Only thing to watch out on them that I know of is problems with the top end. They have a habit of draining all the oil out of the top end of the engine when stopped, so when you restart it takes a while for the oil flow to return. Listen for the usual tapping once the oil is flowing properly, it will sound tappety when first started anyway.

For the time being mate, though mine is alright I dont think I would get another, its fast, looks nice and is ok to drive but its not great on fuel, not built that well and not exactly the last word in fun, it would murder my old Mk2 Golf GTI but its just not as engaging.
Its a bit slower than my mates PPP'd Scoob, but not that much.
