Leasing a car..Personal contract hire....
I'll try in here as not much response in NSR....
Ive been looking into a personal contract hire of a saab 9-3 convertible...seems to be very cheap......Ive found a pch for £339 (inclusive of vat, exclusive of maintainence, 10kpa), on a 3+11 contract...seems to be a cracking deal......
Are there any catches to watch out for? Does anyone know of any better deals, Im also intersted in an audi a4 convertible...

Only catch is that you're tied in for 3 years, no excuses. So, if you lose your job or get bored with the car, you're stuck with the repayments whatever happens.
I had a P1 and lost my job halfway through - was forced to keep up repayments or declare myslef bankrupt (only way to stop paying).
Mart.

try & look for 1+11, do a search as some lease co's are advertising this deal. The saab deal does'nt sound to bad thou, just the 1k up front is a bit of a bummer.

I'm on my 2nd contract. First one for 18 months, this one for 12 months.
Both were manufacteur backed so good terms eg return car with stone chips/dents upto 50mm/small scratches ok.
There are big advantages of 12 month deals, no car tax, no servicing, no gap insurance needed. Be careful of bigger first payment on 12 month deals though, mine was 4 + 11
Saabs conv always on offer during winter months, if you sit down and work out the maths its a bargain. Saab diesels are on offer as well.
http://www.contracthireandleasing.com for list of companies who do it.
Its entirely up to personal choice, I'm quite happy to forget about depreciation/financing/servicing/dents/scratches. Worked out it costs less than owning a new car for 3 years and in 12 months I can choose a totally different car.
