Don't know much about em, but you rarely see them as track cars so that may say something.
I would slightly worry about how front-heavy it is with the 2L engine, but hey, at least it might help you to get some traction down out of the tight bends, and the adjustable coilovers will also help get the balance right.
My opinion would be see how much it goes up to. Bargains can soon become (comparitively) expensive on ebay...don't get sucked into a bidding war and 'miss the point!'

They dont handle brilliantly though.
You'd be better of buying something stock and building it yourself. That Corsa has probably had loads of corners cut with the engine transplant.

This would be perfect and only £600 now
I'd buy it asap if I was anywhere near there.

Make sure you do your sums very carefully. If you intend to cage it you are certainly looking ar £200-£300 + fitting. Brakes, suspension another few of hundred quid. New seats likewise. I spent about £7k on my 205 to get it right, but would accept about £3k, although I haven't got much interest, and that is a proper, sorted Mi16

I had a 2.1 litre corsa on throttle bodies for about two years. Although it was great in a (very) straight line, handling was terrible and composure under braking was shocking! Good fun at the traffic light grand prix or drag stripping but I definitely wouldnt have one as a track car!!

i wouldnt buy a corsa 4 the track.they just dont handle well and a heavy engine wont help.im building a nova for the track.they handle really good and as you know they r really cheap.try and get a 1.2i as these aint been as hammered and its a piece of p~ss to fire a light tunable engine into[corsa/nova gsi].tune it up with 2nd hand parts and you wont have as much bhp as a 2 litre etc but it will just b as quick around thr track due to it weighing about as much as a coke can.
pm if u need any info regarding vauxhall tuning. cheers

The only Corsas that were made that handle ok are the current new shape ones....but I doubt nobody has the insanity of doing an engine transplant into one
You can do absolutely every suspension mod to the old corsa to get them to go round bends but they still drive like dogs.
Old (clarkson)rule: When building/modifying a car...start off with a decent one in the first place
