Default What Next ??????????

Well its come to that time again, that i want to change my car (its been 2months since my last confession)

At the moment i have a 2 month old Focus ST170, its just not what i want.

I have had an
MY04 Sti - Brilliant Car - Cant justify the fuel cost
Evo VIII 260 - Bit bland imo
L200 Warrior - Brilliant but can justify the VAT now
Corsa Diesel - It pulled me out of a hole for a few months
Focus ST170 - Not what i want

Now what i need is something that can be used for long haul runs up & down the country
It will be used daily (i opted out of the company car scheme so i get this one subsidiesed (sp??) )
Needs to be half decent on fuel

I dont want an oil burner unless its a 4x4

Oh & cost no more than 14k

I really want a 4x4 But dont know what i could get for 14k , my mate has just got himself an 03 ML270 & its brilliant but out of my budget

So come on peeps give me your suggestions

Cheers

Stephen

Don't laugh. But Skoda fabia vRS ?!?!

I am in the process of selling my Volvo 850 T5 and have ordered a fabia to relpace it. A very capeable and good value car indeed. £12000 OTR 130hp / 230 lb/ft and 50mpg. A classless comodity really. Fantastic car.....

Although i would comend the Leon 150 cupra diesel!

Seems to me diesel is perfect option for you unless you're really stuck on 4wd, one of the higher powered ones, especially if you're worried about fuel etc. Perfect for long haul motorway driving, and surprisingly quick compared to the petrol models. Something like the Skoda mentioned or Golf??

I use my diesel Rav4 on 3hr motorway journeys and don't really enjoy it. I certainly wouldn't choose a 4x4 for that. (Lack of) Aerodynamics don't exactly help fuel consumption either.
