Question Audi A3 - electric window failed

Anyone got an Audi A3 handbook showing which fuses control what?

My other half just phoned to say the driver’s window on the A3 (1998 3-door) won’t go back up and she’s parked up in town.

Apparently it started to go back up, but then dropped again. Now it won’t go up at all! Guess it might be a fuse, but the other window works fine & I’d guess they are on the same fuse? Can anyone confirm that, or suggest a fix?

On our old Lancia, you could hand crank the windows when they failed - don't think the Audi lets you?

Pain in the butt that I'm stuck at work today – I’m normally at home on a Monday!

Cheers,
Steve

Had a couple of A3's and a couple of S3's, they all had this problem, tell her to lock the car leave for a minute and open again, should go back up fine.

Thanks for that Bobby; tried it a few times, but the window still refuses to play.

Have been told that it's probably the cable mechanism for the window winder slipping or broken - waiting to see if a friend's brother-in-law (who just happens to be an Audi Master Technician ) can have a look-see.

Cheers,
Steve
