Default anyone know how to put the code in on a vauxhall radio

Had my 99 corsa in the garage and they had the battery disconnected

They must have tried 3 times to input the code, but now its locked

I have the code but not sure how I input it, anyone help ?

well on my old car you tapped in the code ussing the buttons 1-4
so if the code was 3412 you tapped 1,3 times 2,4 times 3, once etc.... then you held down the as button until it beeped which was about 3/4 seconds then the radio worked.
obviously it all depends what radio it is...

And the more times you try wrongly the more time delay between subsequent attempts. So when you say it locked up just leave it and eventually it will let you try again. Not sure if this is leave it ignition on or if ignition off will do though sorry.

Also just to be pedantic I think it comes on as 0 first, so press a button once for 0, twice for 1 etc, but obvious because it's on the screen....

you generally need the ignition switched on for the time delay...

If I remember correctly, RGV is right, except that on my '95 Cav you tapped one more time per number. Using his example you would tap 4, 5, 2, 3.

The instructions should be in the handbook, providing you still have it. I know that's how I managed to put my code back in after a reset
