Knocking noise on a fiesta?
I know this is not a scooby question but I need help. My mates fiesta (with 60K) has a knocking noise from the rear suspension. On lifting the car up you could grab the raer wheel and lift and induce a kncoking noise on the passenger side of the car. All bolts were tight and there was no movement in the bushes. So i took off the rear strut and the spring and damper seemed fine. There was no leakign of oil from the damper. But on putting it back on the car the knock came back when driving over large bumps. I think its warn rear shocks causing the noise...any idea's please.

Does it have an anti roll bar on it? The clamps that hold them on snap for fun, then the roll bar clanks about!
If not, that leaves worn bushes on the damper but you say they're OK, have you checked the bushes on the beam? I've never seen one go but it's not impossible and it's all there is left, short of summat rattling round in the boot
