Looks very much like a Yamaha OX99, their stillborn attempt at a supercar.

3.5 V8, detuned from a contemporary F1 car (still has 400 BHP though...)

Found a pic here, rarer than a virgin in Glasgow....

TOKYO - Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. is delaying the launch of its limited edition V- 12 OX99-11 supercar until some time in 1994, a year later than initially planned. The reason: concern about the depressed economies of Europe.

The aluminum-body OX99-11, which Yamaha calls "the one and only Grand Prix supercar," will be handmade in the Milton Keynes, U.K., plant of Ypsilon Technology Ltd., a Yamaha subsidiary. It will be fitted with the same 3.5L 60-valve 12-cyl. Grand Prix engine, made in Japan, that powers the Jordan Yamaha 192 car in Formula 1 racing.

The company won't confirm earlier reports that about 50 ma be built annually with a pricetag in excess of $798,000.
