I suppose somebody has to say something along the lines of 'we all had to start somewhere, each to their own, a lot of effort, blah blah'

Personally, not my thing, in fact its pretty OTT and where would 20 gran have gone, or does he mean 20 Kwid ?

Yet if someone had chavved up a scoob and I'd had a go at them (as I tend to do), "Each to their own" would have trotted out in complete seriousness.

I have to say anyone who buys a car, its his pride and joy, then takes the time to do what this guy has done is ok in my books. Does it look bodged, nope, does it look dirty, nope, does it look well maintained, I think so.........Thats the problem with scoobynet, if someone stickers up a scooby then they are god like, but if you see a lesser car with the same done then its a piece of shxit ........It may not be my cup of tea but each to his own.
I hope he buys a scooby next and does the same or worse to it ..........

Gary

comment obviously not aimed at those of you who replied along the same lines as I have.

The people who did the work on the car must be laughing all the way to the bank. Where has that £20K gone to? There is no way that car has £20k worth of mods, no worthwhile mods on the engine to speak of, still got the poxy standard brakes, cheap alloys, a fisher price interior. The poor kids been ripped off big time

Just to clarify the point I think people who do **** like that to their Imprezas also look like total asses when driving them. I'm just usually to polite to say it as we are on an Impreza based BBS.

"Low insurance group" ?..., I think not with that amount of mods. The standard car might be but not that one

Pastor.

I guess you were never young and did any mods to your first cars? You probably just went straight to a ''sensible'' scooby did ya?

You don't read very closely, do you? Where does it say 20k pounds? He's probably talking Danish kroner.

BTW, can anyone tell me what an alcohol injection system is?

A row of optics?

The cars certainly not to my taste, but it does look like its not been thrown together...........but at the end of the day it is just yet another euro box.

Maybe he spent 20 K in pence? Airfix do a pretty good range in kits.

The auction is already up to 4k.... which is pretty good for a Punto IMO.

Not my taste, but I agree with Mr Pug, doesnt look like something you might see cruising the council schemes thats been Kev'd up in someone's front garden.

Maybe... Just maybe... He's exaggerated the amount he's spent on the car to make it look more appealing to buyers??

He wouldnt be alone, how often are Impreza's advertised as "Prodrive Impreza Turbo" on eBay.......... just to find out that they have got some Prodrive Stickers and some white 'rally style' alloys.

Cheers,
Grant

Just wondering how people manage to find these cars on e-bay in the first place?? Im thinking that secretly they are searching for them, really like them and want to own them. They post them on here to see the publics opinion before they bid??

I thought it looked well done, clean and tidy. I wouldn't have it myself and would believe it to be a waste of money but the owner has had this as a hobby and spent all his hard earned on it. This sort of figure is quite common to be spent on first cars in max power circles.

Some people on here should remember what Gadget Daz spent on his car and what happened to it... I bet there are a good few modders on here who have spent similar amounts but are too scared to add it up for fear of looking foolish. I doubt many get anywhere near close to what they spend on mods when they sell the cars.
