But will they ever again make a car that is fun to drive straight out of the factory? The last S3, S4 and RS6 were all quick, but in no way did that qualify them as sportscars.

(And I've had an S4, S3 and now an A3 Sportback 2.0T, which has the crappiest brakes, clutch and steering you could imagine..but it's the shopping car so thats OK)

Cman,

Is the Sportback really that bad? I've been toying with the idea of getting either the 2.0T or the Tdi due to the fuel bills of the Sti.

How's the room in the back/boot? Is it that much more than in the 3 door?

I swapped from an R32 to the Sti because of lack of room - first baby born in July this year.

Not really sure whether to do that or go the whole hog and PPP it! - For the amount of money the stealers would probably want to swap, i can pay for the PPP and buy a lot of Optimax!!

RS6 Avant.....Emmmmmmmmmmmm. Ideal for someone (like me) with a young family.

Hope they hurry up with the new model. Might hit the prices of the 'old' RS6s so they come into my budget. Knowing my luck the new model will probably create renewed interest in the previous model and prices will firm up.
