Clio Cup bargains !
Just bought my 2nd Cup !
Jan 2003, 15k miles one owner, cherished example, heres the good part £7250 !!!! They are not selling so silly offers are being accepted, time of yr and 182 Cup kinda helps.
**** build quality I know but for the cash they are one hell of a car. Would give my old 270bhp scoob a run in the dry to 100....hate to say it but alot more fun when driven normally, miss the flat 4 rumble though.
Why did I ever sell my first, probably cause the dealers were total crap and caused more problems than they fixed....Still touch wood this seems to be a good one, no warranty claims on file !!

I'm considering one of these at the moment, although with a facelift Clio due out soon and 182's or the new 182 cups, even at bargain prices now will still probably take quite a fair hit in depreciation in say a year or two of ownership.
Nice car btw, another local one sold
Did you bid through ebay or just bargain like mad? £6900 trade price seems a lot less than I expected mind. I rang up about one in the Autotrader a few weeks ago 53reg 4,000 miles I think but was already sold, up for £8995ono and thought they must have sold for no less than £8500-£8600 but maybes not

Handle brilliantly, and do about 35-40mpg even when hammering it from my experience - not a massive amount of room inside though, and odd driving position for me. Great cars though

Nothings has fell off ours yet and the paint work is undamaged.
The only thing is that the interior door handles are starting flake a little. But I will just remove the coating completely.
It has now done over 50 laps of the 'ring and 7k miles and we are still very satisfied.

I guess I am being a little harsh. The gearbox in my first Cup blew and in fixing it the garage caused 18 other problems ! I lost faith.
In the drive down from Newcastle yesterday (400miles) I managed 37.2mpg, worked out manually, although the computer said 39mpg. Mix of driving, mainly at about 85.
I didnt buy through Ebay, just bargained !
They handle very well, just ask Davyboy n Claire. I am faster in the Cup than I was in my Scoob as it tells me so much more, very progressive lift of oversteer all very controllable on the throttle.

Drove my mates when it was nearly new. Round the country lanes nearby, I swear it was as quick point to point as the P1
Great drivers car!

I loved my clio (172 mark 1).
Giving some serious consideration to the new 182, particularly as it came joint 2nd in evo's car of the year.
Really tempted by the v6 aswell.
Mmmm........ maybe new clio 182 cup for the missus and a v6 for me!

The Pugs are ok, need a couple of jobs on both of them, doing the brakes & CV joint on the 306 this weekend.
