Picking up a new Astra (I know, I know...!) on Wednesday and need some advice 'cos I don't trust dealers as a rule!

Vehicle is the CDTI 150 BHP, which has the 6 speed box. Trouble is they also do a 120 BHP version, which also has the 6 speed box.

How do I tell I've got the more powerful engine?...car is new, but I assume the BHP won't be on any of the documentation?

Tips would be much appreciated guys, and yes, I'm gutted to be swapping the 03 WRX but the fuel gobbling is getting a bit out of hand now.

Would have thought the C02 emissions would be higher on the higher output model. Isn't that stuff on the V5 nowadays? Just a thought.

Thanks mate...I'll do a bit of digging on the emissions now...been told that the higher output engine has the last 2 letters of CDTI in red (like the golf), but I've a feeling I've seen all of the badges like this...would hate to think they had ordered in the lower spec engine by mistake and I just drive off in it none the wiser
