Hi guys,
Am looking to buy a cheapish car as a runaround and was thinking maybe a honda accord or civic. It has to be a saloon though and not a hatch and defiitely has to be 5 doors, manual and petrol.
Not fussed about power steering, cd player, air con or even the speed performance of the car at all though.
Been told to go jap cos apparently they are more reliable, cheap to run,etc which is exactly what i need.
Anyone had either of these cars? Had any probs with them?
Or are there any other jap cars that i should look at? Doesnt have to be Honda, am up for any manufacturer.

ooops, my bad, thought they were classed as saloons but having just checked they are actually hatchbacks.

Thinking between £2000-3000.
Just need something to get me from A to B really.
Was gonna get a pug 306, but been told not to bother unless i get a diesel which i dont really want.
