in my mates new diesel volvo, wish my impreza did that!

it's one of those new 1.9TD and its pretty quick for a oil burner!

Julian,

That's pretty poor actually! My old 330d would sit at an indicated 130mph on cruise control and deliver just under 30 mpg! I'd expect the Volvo to be better.

i think thats pretty poor too, i can sit at 100 in my S3 and get 26mpg. and thats in a chipped petrol car???

Right............................I can sit at 150mph on the A30 with five people in the car towing a six berth caravan with 5 mountain bikes on the roof rack!!! and still get 130mpg and that's running on 92 ron fuel!!!

Yes but i can also do 0mph sat on my **** in front of the tele, but still can still do 4sph (stellas per hour).

Agree, poor figures really Julian, my SAAB Aero manages 26 MPG @ above the ton and thats a petrol Turbo.

As for a Subaru it couldnt manage them figures on tick over..........

Know the feeling with the Scooby - had a chipped Alfa 164 V6 that would easily do 26-27 mpg at "fast motorway" speeds, and would keep on pulling a lot lot more than that!

Probably as quick as the scooby over 60-70 mph - just not as good round the bends!
