Cool Lambo Gallardo

Made my day seeing my 1st one in the flesh on the way back from Bromley. It was parked up with 3 blokes cleaning it (LHD - just off the boat?) with the engine bay open so had to have a look (it would be rude not to!).

Smaller than I expected, but a stunning looking car - made the Porsche C4S's around it look a bit ordinary..

Anyone else spotted one, been blitzed by one or (very lucky person!) driven one?

Im even luckier, i used to own one! Had one of the very first cars to come over to the uk officially.
Drew far too much attention so sold it for a car that is just as quick and handles even better

Obviously couldn't resist a pic opportunity

There was one being booted Near Old Tafford the other day, was on trade plates so dont be surprised when a United player gets one, the salesman nearly got it wrong, it kicked sideways, I think it surprised him !

I'm guessing from his login name a 911 Turbo. Do tell though, I'm curious (and very jealous!)

I'm not surprised it got/gets a lot of attention - rarer than a Ferrari and arguably better looking. Also very VERY yellow (well, the one I saw today was!) - talk about low profile!

One of my mates is lucky enough to own one of these...
Awesome motor and looks the absloute kiddy !!!
Still cant catch my P1 off the lights though and around the streets........
Perhaps its his driving, i dont know..
Personally i think it would ruin my P1 and when i have driven it i have scared myself and him... He doesnt like to see his baby sideways round roundabouts !!!
Would definately be up there on my shopping list if i had the cash........

There's one in Hull I've seen a couple of times now. Outstanding looking thing in pearlescant orange metalic. Always loved Lambos over Ferraris. Don't know why. Just have. Have been out in a mates 348gts and that drew attention so God only knows what it's like in a Gallardo!

My next door neighbour owns one

Identical to this one - but an '04 Plater!

Took this at a Skyline meet we went to at Modena Cars, this was probably the cheapest car they had there

Just as a little teaser they had one of these bad boys too:

800bhp from the factory

Don't ask the price

These were the pics I took (when I wasn't drooling)

Isn't a Gallardo an Audi in disguise ? If I remember Top Gear, they said it was a really practical supercar in terms of the engine flexibility, AWD, etc.. ?

Is that gear lever designed for changing ratios, or just self-abuse when parked?

Im in the unfortunate position of having a mate who has a gallardo on order. He wouldnt even let me drive his Carrera 4S so he probably wont even let me be a passenger in this one......

Lucky git. Bloody nice cars. If I ever get to drive it I'll post up a review..........

not a fan of the gallardo, went to the new nottingham ferrari dealership last sat to look at some 360s and had a quick glimpse of their custoemr service cars out the back.

Wasn't impressed by the murcielago in the flesh and and the gallardo just ddint have the presence. All I noticed is that the back is ugly and the bonnet is way too short.

Plus the doors don't open upwards! not right for a lambo.

The murcielago wasn't smooth in the flesh like I thought it would be. very dissapointed.

There were so many ferraris around that all these cars began to look common place. The 911 turbo might as well have been a ford escort or a VW golf. Didn't look special at all!

Have a look in top marques. The gallrdo h\s been over bought by people looking to make profit on them, and the market is flooded. A real let down.

DC911 now has a Type 25 impreza. He had a 911 turbo before and then 2 996 GT2s in case you are interested.

I didn't say I could afford them, just that I wasn't impressed in the flesh.

They did have 2 F40s and a beautiful 355. These are cars that I aspire to own. The gallardo will over the years be lost in the history of all other italian exotica. I am pretty convinced that unless it has a prancing horse, it is never really going to invoke the passion a true supercar should.

Its all in the sound.

My mate`s got one and I have twatted it a few times.
He has a Tubi exhaust fitted to it and it sounds like an F1 car.
It is the most complete car I have driven .
Superb quality and extreme traction.
I want one but whilst my mates keep buying expensive exotica and let me **** them I`ll stick to me Scoob!!!!
PS I am the best driver in the World so if I say its good it is!!!
