Whats the BHP and whats the MPG Etc.

150 BHP, 28-32 mpg Urban

Used to have one of these.....punchy motor, always felt quicker than 150bhp.

28-32 mpg?? only if you cane it!

My 1.8T Golf did 30+mpg urban easily, more like 34/35!

actually they come out more like 155 bhp most of the time


needs a remap to do it justice and neuspeed rear anti roll does wonders for the handling even with stock spings and dampers

1999 will have the AGU head best for big turbo conversion and also works well
with the later k03 if the turbo ever needs replacing & and it wont have the crappy coil packs which have hammered VW reliabilty recently

one of my coils went on my mk4 1.6se, so not just 1.8t
