mapping turbo diesels
Anyone had this done? Particularly to VAG cars (esp. the 1.9)
Any idea of the reliability issues? How much different are the engine stresses to petrol engines given the lower rpm??
Obviously its going to stress the clutch / gearbox and turbo more.

My Fabia - the smart choice don't you know - has had a fettling. So long as you use a reputable firm it's all within component limits so I don't worry about it.

What is yours pushing out now? How much difference did the map make? Did you get it done locally?

I have had my alfa 156 2.4 diesel chipped from 150 tp 175bhp and 215 to 265 lf/ft. While at it I had the wife's Renault Espace 2.2 TD taken from 130 to 162 bhp and 214 lb/ft to 258 lb/ft.
Have a look at www.upsolute.com and talk to Simon Coe at CCC Technology in the UK
