205 exhaust system

205 exhaust system
So I come on here to ask a 205 question and all I can see is posts about 205's
I need a full system, from manifold back, for a 1987 205 GTi 1.6.
'Tis for a road rally car, so doesn't have to be the standard one, but not excessively noisy - has to pass the noise checks pre-event. Probably needs two boxes - intermediate and rear.
Don't care what it looks like (chromed ends etc).
But must be fairly cheap! Have been quoted £147 by the local tyre'n'exhaust place for a standard one.
Options, suppliers, experiences etc etc please. Pretty please.....
(...205 forum on SN anyone)

You need a std Grp N system from pugsport. They look standard, but are slightly louder than normal and painted black.
They are also cheap from http://www.rallycar.com the Pugsport site

Don't mind the thread hijacks
Ordered an exhaust from Peter Lloyd Rallying this afternoon- downpipe, centre box, 3" rear box and other pipes. About 94dBa at 0.45m at 4500rpm - limit is 98dBa. £155 inc. VAT. It might even be the Grp N one that DW speaks of - he did say it was painted black
...plus some Mintex 1144 front pads
Would recommend Peter Lloyd for anyone rallying (and maybe even tracking) a 205. Apart from him rallying a Prodrive WRC Impreza, he knows his onions and is more than happy to advise. I think he supplies most of the South Wales road rally boys with 205 parts (had 5 full cages and 10 exhausts in stock! - see below)
Cheap as well and, if he's got it in stock, next day delivery. You just have to get past the secretary and speak to the man himself. No connection etc...just a happy customer
So, got the car (eBay), bucket seats (eBay), 4 pt harnesses (eBay), another set of 1.9 alloys with two brand new Toyo Proxes, and two hardly worn ANO make (eBay), alloy bonnet pins (an absolute essential - eBay), SD bolt in cage (well, weld in fitting plates and bolt onto those) with door bars (Peter Lloyd), misc spare parts (GSF)
...first event is the Barbara Carter Memorial Road Rally, Sidmouth, Devon, 10/11 July....wish me and "Richmilly" good luck
