I don't think the airbag system is checked on the current MOT....but'll they'll probably start doing it in the future.

I hope the insurance company knows about it!

i told him he needs more then a steering wheel to compete with me saying that it is a 2.5 V6 (shame it weights more then a skip full of bricks) ha ha ha ha

Scoobyverysoon - I am an ex owner of an R reg Vectra your mate has my condolences. As for removing the airbag that is the last thing i would have done with the dodgy Vectra handling as he is likely to need it at some stage (although i hope not). The money would have been better spent an a copy of autotrader and advetising his Vectra + the fuel to go look at other cars!

The 2.6 engine is pretty good but let down by a dreadful chassis and aifix kit quality interior and build.

I am sure you can tweak the suspension buit i am a firm beliver that you cannot polish a turd!

on a slightly more usefull note - the car may well fail an MOT if the airbag warning light is on, so my advice would be to either re-fit the wheel at MOT time - not recommended as I dont like messing with airbags too much and the light would get on my **** in the mean-time...
...or go for plan B and remove the bulb for the warning light.
