Corvette
Anyone driven an LS1 or LS6? Some nice lateral g (0.98g)numbers posted, excellent modification potential (11.7 1/4 @126mph for about $20000), 9s in the mid 140s with twin turbos. How well do they handle?

I haven't ever driven a Corvette, but I have driven a late 80's Camaro Z28 IROC and it blew away a lot of myths about American cars for me. Excellent handling (on the road at least) felt very chuckable despite the weight. The newer gen 'vette's apparently moved the goalposts on a long way when they were launched in terms of handling.

I've been a passenger in a Z06 Corvette that was being driven enthusiastically.
It was fecking fast and handled extremely well. With the traction control off it was quite happy to go sideways on demand, although you still had to be fairly brutal to get it to step out of line. It made my old Scoob (MY93 WRX) seem slow and wobbly in comparison.

Still looking for the ulitmate in ridiculously fast and tuneable cars good Doctor?
I have to say that they don't initially feel that wieldy IMHO, but once you get used to the way it does things can chucked about with a fair bit of verve. Mind you, they do occupy a fair bit of territory (innescapable fact of life), so while they handle pretty well, they never really feel tight around you IMHO.
On the power front, well, let's just say there is enough , and I know of a new turbo kit being worked on that is offering simply silly outputs... Sounds perfect for you
