Anyone know where the thermostat is on an e34 BMW 1992???
As title says, looked everywhere, engine is an M50 so not covered in any Haynes manual.
Any help appreciated...

If you follow the tope hose (which is to the right when you look under the bonnet) you'll see an alloyhousing where it fits, which is a bit tight to get to as the fan can get in the way if you have sausage like fingers, like me. (from memory). They can stick and make your gauges and your heater play up ....
If your looking to replace it then dont forget the rubber/plastic type seal as well. Also, dont get you cooland additive from BMW as its bl00dy expensive. I found the local factors was a lot cheaper as long as you get the right stuff as well ...
