It's not "my" definition, it's that of Websters dictionary
By "my" definition, no a Micra would not be a coupe, however an RX8 would. I would define a coupe as 2 or 2+2 seating with a sloping roof with either a hatch or boot

A coupé (to give it its correctly accented spelling) is a two or four-seater car with a fixed roof, a sloping back, and two doors. The style is generally used for sportier models in a manufacturer's range.
A coupe is actually
a dish of fruit and ice-cream served in a goblet-shaped glass bowl.
On second thoughts I think I prefer the sound of the second definition.

I seem to remember Rover doing a very nice 4 door coupe in the 60's, basically a P5 with a 3" roof chop IIRC.
The term coupe (fr: cut) was originally used by auto stylists to descibe the lowering of the roof on a standard model to give a sleeker looking version, i.e: a chop, as yank hotrodders would call it. The door quantity is irrelevant, what makes a coupe is a roof low enough to damage any hairstyle other than a skinhead, & rear legroom minimal enough to qualify as a holiday charter jet Oh yeah, and a ride hard enough to get you on first name terms with a good dentist & chiropractor
