Talking Range Rover Tdi?

Just wondering if anyone has had one of these?
The LPG tank in mine is getting annoying, as it's right in the middle of the load bay.
Any ideas of mpg, or running costs? Is 30mpg realistic?

Thanks for the info

Chris.

Why don't you swap your tank for one of the newer doughnut tanks that have the LPG section within the petrol tank which will free up some space. I don't have a Tdi but I do know that the 300Tdi is the one to have.

I shall try that one. Thanks for that.

I wasn't aware that those doughnut tanks existed. Sill tanks, I've heard of, but even so, the capacity's only 80 odd litres, which gets you nowhere. They reduce the petrol capacity, presumably - not that I ever use petrol anyway. I don't think that'd be a problem.

That wasn't really the point though. The V8 uses far too much fuel, LPG or not, & it's very hard to change that by any significant amount, as it's not a new engine.
Other thing was, I can't really afford a whole new LPG system + all the petrol tank mods etc.

I've found a similar car to mine though, which started life as a VM diesel, and was converted to 200tdi a few years ago. It might fit the bill, but only if they do a reasonable mpg - upwards of 30, that is. If not, I might just have to get another Scooby GL.

Mrs's car is a 200 tdi Desicovery - gets 25mpg realistically, can do more, but only by driving very gently.

300 tdi are ones to have.

Right ho. In that case, the car's into the garage in tuesday, & I'm getting the V8 to work properly. Theoretically, it should return 20+mpg on a run, which is ~40 on LPG. Can't really beat that except in a normal car.
