In process of buying an A6 diesel.

Any any experience of tuning them?

Am looking at a 1998 model, either a 1.9 tdi 130 or a 2.5 tdi.

Whose best for tuning? have noticed a company called RevoTechnik...any good?

Revo or AmD or Jabbasport would be your best bets. All will do a top job with similar results. The 130 engine will remap to around 185hp and 300lb/ft so thats probably your best bet. The 2.5tdi doesn't respond to tuning quite as well.

Flat 4x4

I've owned and chipped both the 1.9 and 2.5 A4 (same engines as A6).
In value for money /bangs for bucks, I'd also go with the 1.9 and book with Jabbasport at Crowland.

While my V6 was a nice sounding, refined engine and was definitely quicker, the extra weight over the front wheels was very noticeable and it used a fair bit more fuel. The 1.9 also picked up better at very low revs.
