Default need some quick help please guys (lancia delta hf integrale 16v)

Hi there... Im sorry that ive put this in the wrong forum but i got no replys in the other fourm and time is running out lol..

Ive got the chance to buy a G plate lancia delta hf integrale 16v thats been p/x'd in at the garage that i work at...Now i know jack all about these cars and have been franticaly searching the net all night for info on them....

The car has a binder 2 inches thick of recipts and has a full service history.. ive driven it about 15 miles and the thing flies , problem is it smokes when warm at idle (suspect turbo) and there is a bit of rust around the screen but apart from that its not to bad (Done approx 60,000 miles)..they want £3000 for this car and i must let them know by tommorw morning or its off to auction... Has anyone had any experiance with these cars ?? what are parts like to get hold off ? are bits expensive etc etc... Please anyone who has had one of these cars can you give me your opions / advice on them.....

Ive put this thread on a few forums as i need advice fast...

Many thanks..

gavin..

Had one of these - not a lot to say appart from it had more grip with the only mods to suspension bieng springs than any scooby ive been in can muster. Felt more special too - seemed to have more 'feel' less understeer better balance and awesome mid range pull once chipped.

parts can be pricey - i had mine tuned and looked after by evo engineering in london. The transmision is not as strong as you might think and can suffer if you start to look for big power (300+).

Not built as well as a scoob but it regularly took me from one end of the country to the other on mostly back roads and NEVER disapointed once!

If i could find a local specialist i trusted i would buy an evo 2 - be sorry to see the scoob go but all other 4wd machinery out there are just pretenders.

Warning - can be costly to run (even compared to a modded scoob)!!

To repeat - always, always, feel 'special'.

To repeat again - cost a lot to service etc....

All MVHO of course.
