a 'new' one? (i.e. jeep wrangler) or an original? If so, you'll be a bit pressed to find a 60 year old car that's not in a museum!

The 1940's ones are getting pricey now. Is this brought on by Band of Brothers or Call of Duty?

I decided the 1940's ones were getting too expensive and opted for a 1950's - 60's model, which is essentially the same, as used in the Korean war. Also have the complate kit , including the deactivated Thompson.

Have a few other bits and bobs like an original MP40 and a 1st revision Bren.

I'll try and dig out some sites tonight for you.

Jeez, if you get pulled in a scooby late at night, how long would you last driving round central London with that, in the current climate?

The fuzz don't actually mind. You just have to carry all the weapons certificates.

They don't mind about the shovel on the side but you need the axe head to be removed. That's pretty standard anyway and it stays in a locked case instead of on the side as per normal. Comes out for the shows.

Mines the model slighty before this that is still the WWII style.

Saving up now for a 1942 BMW R75 with sidecar. The sidecar is driven by and axle so it's registered as a trike. Hence no motorbike license or helmet. Complete with MG-34 mounted on the sidecar.

Check out the Daimler Scout cars if you want another cheap WWII option that stands out like a spare ***** at a wedding.

Thanks dosenöffner, it's got to be 1940's model, like this from www.roncobb.com

Where do you source spares from ? Any owners clubs etc worth looking at ? Major probs with them ?

www.jeepclub.co.uk

I'll dig out some WWII collectors and re-enactors site when I'm home.

Below is a 1950's version of the CJ3A made between 48 and 53. They go for about 4K instead of closer to 10 - 15K for the 1940 version.

I'll ask. I know a couple are coming on the market.

From my v limited knowledge the Hotchkiss was the military version built under licence by the French.
