I've just been reading a thread on another car bb and was reading how 2 different dealers have quoted different prices for doing the first 1,000 mile service. I was also under the impression that when I use to sell new cars that it was just an oil and filter change and was free of charge.

I'm not sure if things have changed in the past 2-3 years but with prices supposedly dropping has it changed?

Thanks Nath

The labour is free but you have to pay for the bits! Mine was £40.00 + vat.

Thanks Dave The 2 dealers have quoted him £160 & £169 for different things that need doing and the car has only done 380miles not the 1k miles needed. But from memory the servicing is either through mileage and certain periods of time ....
