I have recently got myself a 91 Elan SE Turbo as a second car to my Scoob. Just fitted a new stainless backbox, sounds nice but causes boost creep due to there not apperently being enough back pressure. At 0.92 bar the fuel cut comes and it ain't nice. I have posted at few thing on an Elan forum and they say there is a way of bypassing this FCD (Fuel Cut Defender), problem being they are all home made. I thought of reduce the boost by adjusting the actuator, will this work ?

Standard boost is 0.65 bar but it is set up so overboost does occur. Another option so I have been told is to port or replace the wastegate?

Suppose what I need is an idea of a cheap simple fix.
