my dads got a 406 estate and the drivers side electric window works on its own, i mean it comes down without the button being pressed and sometimes wont come back up straight away, anyone got any ideas on what the problem may be???

So it comes down when you first turn the ignition or at random intervals ?

random intervals, never comes down when ignition first turned but just randomly when driving along, its driving the old man mad, especially given the temperature outside!! ;-)

If it only started recently it will be dampness in the control unit

not sure where the control unit is in a 406 but the 405 done the same in the winter as the control unit is in the door and gets cold and damp
