Goodbye Evo6 - Hello Carrera Super Sport
#5
Very nice choice. Any pics? I am hoping to get one next year, although the Super Sports are a bit thin on the ground. Is it to be your only car, or a little something for the weekend?

No, I just look at the independants websites regularly, and I spotted that a few weeks ago. It looks the fantastic. I thought it might be that one.

It will be my car, but I onlt do about 7,000 miles per annum and use my wife's Rav for the daily commute.
Always wanted a 911 before I reached 40, and as I was 36 last week thought it about time to change.
The Evo (after a UK Impreza Turbo) was great, but as I have only 2 year's NCD the insurance was £2,100. Found out from my broker the 911 will cost me £900 per annum (YIPPEEE).
Can I email a pic to you to post on here (still have not worked out how to post pictures afert using Scoobynet for 4 years...).

id - I just missed my own little post landmark, although 951 wont mean a lot to most!
Richard - the pic above looks lovely. I think I have also seen that on the Autobahn site. I am a bit of a 911 fan myself. I thought long and hard about getting one this year and in the end plumped for a 944 Turbo, which I love, and have promised myself that I will get a 3.2 next year as a second car, preferably a super sport, but more likely just a sport, funds permitting!
By all means mail me another pic if you like and I will post it up (if poss make sure the pic is not too big as I have a poxy hotmail account!)

Thanks for posting a picture for me and the replies.
I have owned Imprezas x 2 and an Evo on and off since 1999, but I am sure this car is the most "logical" (!) next step.
It is absolutely immaculate and sounds amazing - almost as good as a decatted Scoob
I took the view you only have one life so you may as well enjoy it and spend a bit of money every now and then.

They have got some great cars in, I was very tempted with a white 1985 B reg Turbo that has had the "Ruf" treatment, but I thought it would be a bit much for a daily commute!
They have a 1988 Carrera Coupe in with 44,000 miles and are asking £19,000 - very nice car for someone!

please stop it - I have just had a look on their site and have fallen in love with the white Turbo. The Carrera is one of the few cars that looks really good in white, particularly with the turbo body. I had better start saving really hard
Have fun getting used to the porker on these slippery roads
