My dad's Y-reg Focus Estate has developed an annoying rattle over the last few weeks, it sounds like its coming inline with the steering wheel @ the floorpan level. The noise is always there and is more noticeabnle when the steering wheel has been used with a fair bit of lock. Any ideas on what it could be?

Been in touch with Ford and they are offering to put their sound test equipment on the car, as they cant pinpoint the noise using conventional methods.
