The wife currently drives a chrysler voyager and the lease is up next month. We had decided to change to a 4x4 SUV but she has just had a change of heart and wants something sporty, and thats where I need help.

The car has to be able to carry two adults and three small children, 2 or 4 doors, priced anywhere up to about £25k its going to be contract hired, so up to about £400/month, or should I say, no more than the current Chrysler (£430/mth, but she does not like the likes of a sported up saloon car ie: Honda Type R or the likes, which is a shame, she likes the audi TT, and has seen the chrysler crossfire. performance not the be all and end all, must be quick.....can you help and suggest some options.

Mark

PS I personally like the new Saab 9-3 conv does anyone have anyone have any experience on this model?

BMW 3**Coupe sport (insert whatever numbers suit your budget). Rwd, great chassis, reliable, well built, good residuals, smooth engines, blah, blah....

Hi, thanks, but I/she does not like the 3's, I think there overpriced for what you get, I tried pricing one up once, and it went from expensive, then when I factored all the essential options it was absurd!!!

cheers for thre comment though.

Question

New Mazda RX8 - I think the price is approximately £22,000.

Try the Mazda RX8. I drove it before the journalists reviews were published and loved it. Watch the fuel gauge carefully though!!

I would have bought one by now if I lived on the UK mainland. It's very comfortable etc, but I didn't think it handled the really rough B roads quite as well as the Scoob.

There's more room in the back than you'd think too.

Something about great minds or fools springs to mind
Does the RX8 have 3 seats in the back? I can't remember - it may only be 2.

RX8 is a strict 4 seater isn;t it? The Saab (along with 3 serier cabrio and mercs etc) certainly only has seating for 4.
How about a Golf R32?
