A megablade is a total hoot. The performance is STILL MINDBLOWING from a 918cc engine, the best from any car i've had (including jap spec WRX).No dry sumping, or any of that buisness. If the motor blows, they are easy to get hold of, and changing the engine is as easy as changing the SKY remote batteries. I built one in 2001, but sold on after a year of ownership, and a guy who comes on Scoobynet did own it (Catflap) not sure if he still does. I'm dead set on building another in the near future. Just cant do without that acceleration buzz.

Hired a Megablade with Numptie some months back for a four hour blast at KH - What a great track car.
A Megabird would have more torque though, and a Megabusa I imagine would be incredible

BTW I am looking for a cheap (sub4K) 7(esque) type car, probably not bike engined though as I want to use it on road as well as track, probably Ford engined.
My problem (I have several but one relating to the car) is that I want my 19yr old son to drive it too, and he is 6' 4" tall.
Anybody got ideas on what might be suitable, or better still available.

Glad to hear you still own her Catflap. I miss her greatly. Still have loads of pictures though, which I peek at now and again. Just need to get a garage built next to the house (which I plan on getting done THIS year), then I'm off. Bike engined revolution will start again for moi!!!!

Chris.

yeah Megabusa you are right about a 'new craze' with V8 bike butchered lumps. Basically, a new cylinder block is machined, (V-format), then you 'bolt-on' the bike cylinder head's to either side of the new block. The one I read about most, used a new machined block, with a Kawasaki zx 9-R head bolted on each side. This gives you a V8, 32 valve lump, that revs to about 12000rpm, producing AROUND 330 BHP. The bonus point is the engine weighs about as much as an average passenger!!
