OK folks, got rid of my STi3 for a pants C180 Merc, it's been a month and I can;t take it any more.

So, a new car is needed, but recently found out a new addition to the family is on it's way but this kinda changes my thought on what car.

We already have a new Mini Cooper but it really is not up to being a family car and if I ask the wife to sell it I might aswell say 'Can I have a divorce please'

I really had my heart set on a BMW M Coupe but with two seats it's not really practical.
E55AMG is another I have looked at, nice car, stealth bullet, but just looks like another merc.
Skylines are still a little pricey as I would only want an R34 GTR
I could, of course come back to the Scooby, with a P1 or late STi Type R.

I have about 15K plus whatever I can get for the merc, so lets say 20k as a round figure.

Should I buy the M coupe and sell in a year, that's what my heart is telling me?

Or are there any other suggestions that will help me in my rather nice to be in dilemma

Skylines have a suprisingly small boot, not nearly as family friendly as a Scoob type-R, especially if it's your first kid, you'll end up taking far more cr*p around with you than you need.
We've got a Froester and a 22B, and to be honest it's just as easy to get into the back of the 22 and strap kids in as it is to do it in the Forester.
The M coupe is cool, but I suspect they are difficult to sell on as not hugely popular.
Have you tried an Evo? Or an older M3? The new JDM Integra Type R?
S4 avant? Alfa 156GTA sportwagon? We've tried em all and stuck with the 22B LOL
Bear in mind that when the wife is 8 months pregnant she'll curse you for having a low-down sportscar LOL

Wink

Hmm. Depends what you want. If you're using child seats I would imagine you need a 4 door for ease, which leaves you with Impreza Stis, Mitsubishi Evo 6s/7s, Honda Accord Type R, the AMG mercs as you've suggested, Audi S4, or an M3 Evo saloon. Can't get an M5 for 20k yet.

If you are interested in sussing out the M3 saloon, I'll be in Herts this weekend if you fancy taking a look at mine. Plus I'll be selling mine in the near future (shameless plug )

Mitsubishi Airtek Turbo-R. Same drive train as the Evos!!! Imported though and as practical as a mini MPV but with de tuned EVO engine with 240bhp.
